Tinubu Launches Nigeria Industrial Policy 2025 in Abuja

On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu officially unveiled the Nigeria Industrial Policy 2025 at an event in Abuja, emphasizing the need for rapid implementation by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). He acknowledged the challenges Nigeria faces, including fragmented value chains and high production costs, and stressed the importance of coherent action across energy, trade, infrastructure, finance, and innovation.

Tinubu highlighted that the success of the policy will not be measured by the number of documents produced but by the actual creation of jobs and the opening of factories. He outlined key aspects of the policy, prioritizing strategic sectors to enhance Nigeria's competitive advantage and promote the development of value chains.

Tinubu called for private sector participation and investment to strengthen local value chains. He commended Minister of State for Industry, John Owan Enoh, for his leadership and noted the significance of the policy in transforming Nigeria's industrial landscape.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote expressed optimism about the policy's potential to boost domestic manufacturing.
