Tinubu to Inaugurate Projects, Headline Argungu Festival

On Saturday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will officially visit Kebbi State to inaugurate various projects as stated by Governor Nasir Idris. The visit was announced by Tinubu's special adviser, Bayo Onanuga, who indicated that the president will also headline the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing Festival.

This festival is regarded as a major cultural event in Africa and is recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The event will take place at the historic riverside of Matan Fada Argungu.

Tinubu's visit is expected to attract top government officials, traditional rulers, cultural enthusiasts, and visitors to Kebbi State, which is known for hosting significant cultural celebrations. Following the visit, the president will return to Abuja.
