Matawalle Confident in Tinubu's 2026 Election Victory

Bello Matawalle, serving as the Deputy Director of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council’s Directorate of Security and Intelligence, stated that President Bola Tinubu is poised to win the presidential election scheduled for January 16, 2026. During the inauguration of the directorate and its 12 sub-committees in Abuja, Matawalle emphasized the importance of the directorate's responsibilities and urged members to work diligently towards the party's success.

He declared the election "as good as won," attributing this confidence to Tinubu's achievements in office. Maj. Gen. SY Bello (retd.), the director of the directorate, reinforced the need for professionalism, integrity, and teamwork among members.

He called for immediate action from the chairmen, secretaries, and members of the sub-committees, which include areas such as Operations and Field Coordination, Cyber Security and Communication, and Election Monitoring. Notable attendees included Lukman Adegboyega Fasasi and several retired generals.
