Ex-FUOYE President Inspired by Tiwa Savage's Resilience

Jame Adio, the former president of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Student Union, revealed in an interview with Tiamiyu Adebayo that the resilience of singer Tiwa Savage, following her own private video leak in 2021, inspired him to navigate the backlash from his own explicit video that surfaced online. Adio, who faced significant online criticism, noted that he was initially unaware of the situation until he checked his phone later that day.

He compared his ordeal to that of Tiwa Savage, emphasizing that overcoming such challenges is a testament to strength. Adio mentioned that he received support from his family, particularly his mother, which helped him move forward.

He also reflected on his tenure as SUG president, where he faced a tough election against 13 opponents and built goodwill among students. Adio made headlines in June when FUOYE suspended him over allegations of financial extortion involving newly admitted students.
