Tolu Arokodare Sets Conditions for Ajax Transfer from Wolves

Tolu Arokodare, an AFC Ajax forward, stated his willingness to make his loan move from Wolverhampton Wanderers permanent, provided that a salary increase is included in the deal. His comments came during a post-match press conference following Ajax's 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the Europa Conference League group stage, marking Ajax's first win in the competition this season.

Arokodare scored one goal and assisted Abdellah Ouazane for the second goal in the match. When a journalist mentioned that Ajax sporting director Jordi Cruyff needed to pay a reported €20 million fee to secure Arokodare's permanent transfer, Arokodare emphasized that the final decision rests with both clubs.

While the €20 million fee is not seen as a major hurdle, Arokodare's current salary at Wolverhampton Wanderers may complicate negotiations for Ajax. Arokodare joined Ajax on loan and has quickly made a positive impression.
