Dr. Toni Bello Appointed Chief Innovation Officer at Matna Foods

Dr. Toni Bello has been appointed as the Chief Innovation and Commercialisation Officer at Matna Foods, a strategic move by Cavista Holdings to bolster Nigeria's agricultural sector.

Dr. Bello is an internationally recognized food scientist with over three decades of experience across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

He has previously held senior innovation and commercial roles at major global food companies, including PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, Kellogg Company, and Kraft General Foods, where he led significant product development initiatives and secured patents for food processing formulations. His advisory roles include working with international development organizations such as the UN Development Programme and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Niyi John Olajide, Chairman of Cavista Holdings, expressed delight in welcoming Dr. Bello, emphasizing that his world-class scientific expertise and commercial experience will enhance the competitiveness of African agriculture.

Dr. Bello's focus will be on innovating product development and commercial strategies to expand cassava-based products in both domestic and international markets.
