Tony Elumelu to Receive N1.68 Billion Dividend from UBA, Solidifying Top Earner Status

Billionaire investor Tony Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank Africa (UBA), is set to receive N1.68 billion in dividend payments from the bank. The dividend payment follows an interim payout of 25 kobo per share in the first half of 2025.

Elumelu's direct stake in UBA brings in millions, with additional earnings from his indirect holdings. This significant dividend payment solidifies Elumelu's position as one of Nigeria's consistent top earners.

Despite a slight decline in UBA's interim payout compared to the previous year, the bank reported a profit of billions in the first half of 2025, showcasing a robust income stream. Interest income, including Treasury bills and corporate term loans, contributed significantly to the bank's earnings.
