TotalEnergies Reports ₦12.46 Billion Loss in 2025

TotalEnergies Market Nigeria Plc disclosed a significant financial downturn in its audited financial statement released on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd on Monday. For the year ending December 31, 2025, the company reported a 26% decline in revenue, amounting to ₦767.63 billion, down from ₦1.04 trillion in 2024.

The company faced a loss before tax of ₦12.46 billion, contrasting sharply with a profit of ₦42.26 billion recorded in the previous year. Additionally, TotalEnergies reported a comprehensive income loss of ₦13.96 billion, compared to a gain of ₦27.49 billion in 2024.

The shareholders' fund decreased by 37% to ₦47.54 billion from ₦75.08 billion, while the share capital remained unchanged at ₦169.76 million. Earnings per share fell to a loss of 40.80 kobo, compared to earnings of 80.99 kobo in 2024.

The company's share price declined by 8% to ₦640 from ₦698.00 the previous year, and its staff strength slightly decreased to 413 employees from 420 in 2024.
