Tottenham Pursues Andi Robertson in Transfer Talks

Tottenham Hotspur is currently engaged in advanced negotiations to sign Andi Robertson, the Scotland captain and left-back, on a free transfer this summer. Robertson confirmed last week that he would leave Anfield after a nine-year tenure when his contract expires.

Although a full agreement has not yet been reached, discussions are understood to be at an advanced stage. The deal's completion is contingent upon Tottenham's status in the Premier League, as they are currently in 18th place, two points adrift of safety.

The club aims to add experienced leadership to their squad, with Robertson identified as a key target for manager Roberto De Zerbi in his first full season in charge. Meanwhile, Tottenham's club captain Cristian Romero is set to miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury sustained during a collision with goalkeeper Antonin Kinski, which has raised concerns about his involvement in Argentina's World Cup squad.
