Former BBNaija winner, Phyna, is mourning the loss of her younger sister, Ruth Otabor, who passed away on August 31, 2025, just weeks after a tragic Dangote truck accident. Ruth had been critically injured in the accident, leading to the amputation of one leg after undergoing surgery following her graduation from Auchi Polytechnic.

Phyna had been at the forefront seeking justice and financial support for Ruth's treatment. The Dangote Group had pledged to cover the medical expenses.

Phyna confirmed her sister's passing on Instagram and expressed gratitude for the condolences received. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
