Transfer: Chukwu moves to Austrian club, Wolfsberger on loan

Nigerian defender Emmanuel Chukwu has joined Austrian club Wolfsberger AC on loan for the season. The move is aimed at providing Chukwu with more playing time to aid in his development.

Chukwu, a Nigeria international, previously played for Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim but had not made his senior debut. He will now join his compatriot Chibuike Nwaiwu at Wolfsberger.

Chukwu was part of the Nigeria Flying Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he played in every minute of the six games. This loan move is seen as a positive step for Chukwu's career as he looks to further establish himself in professional football.
