PSG Bids €250M for Barcelona's Lamin Yamal, Player Rejects

Joan Laporta, the former president of FC Barcelona, announced that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) submitted a €250 million bid for 17-year-old Lamin Yamal. This revelation occurred during the launch of Laporta's new book on Tuesday.

The offer was notable as it would have surpassed the previous world record fee of €222 million paid by PSG for Neymar in 2017. Laporta mentioned that many viewed it as "crazy" for Yamal to turn down such a lucrative offer, especially given the player's rising prominence in European football during the 2023-2024 season.

PSG is reportedly seeking a replacement for Kylian Mbappé, who is set to join Real Madrid as a free agent. Despite the significant financial incentive, Yamal chose to reject the €250 million offer from PSG.
