Galatasaray Manager Reveals Why Lookman Transfer Failed

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk revealed the reasons behind failing to secure the signing of Ademola Lookman from Atalanta during the summer transfer window. Despite Galatasaray's interest, Atalanta refused to loan the Nigerian international.

Lookman had expressed a desire to leave Atalanta, even submitting a transfer request, but the Serie A club rejected offers from clubs like Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. Atalanta included Lookman in their Champions League squad, preventing his move.

Buruk expressed disappointment at the failed transfer, citing similarities to the Victor Osimhen situation. Turkish football pundit Yağız Sabuncuoğlu also commented on the matter.
