Soldiers Accused of Attacking Barkin Ladi Community

On Tuesday, residents of Barkin Ladi in Plateau State accused soldiers of invading their community, resulting in the deaths of cattle, destruction of homes and vehicles, and loss of valuable items. Bala Salisu, a resident, reported that the soldiers stormed the area around 9 PM, shooting indiscriminately and burning several houses.

Muhammad Abdullahi, another resident, echoed these claims, stating that the soldiers' actions were unjustifiable and described the attack as a deliberate effort to destroy the community. The residents reported that foodstuff, mattresses, and clothing worth millions of naira were destroyed during the incident.

Despite the attack, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of three individuals, the community is calling on the Plateau State government and security authorities to investigate the matter and ensure justice. They expressed their frustration over the lack of official response and urged patience while seeking accountability for the alleged actions of the soldiers.
