Nigerian Troops Thwart Bandit Attack in Taraba, Recover Weapons

Nigerian troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, operating within Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke, effectively prevented a bandit attack in Taraba State. Acting on credible intelligence, the troops engaged armed men in Majebiyu and Ngasawa villages, forcing the assailants to flee.

The soldiers recovered weapons, including five dane guns and two motorcycles, abandoned by the fleeing bandits. The Army spokesperson commended the troops for their professionalism and bravery, emphasizing the commitment to rid the state of criminal elements and illegal arms.
