Troops Intervene to Prevent Farmland Destruction in Plateau

On April 18, at 12:32 hours, troops from Sector 4 of Operation Safe Haven intervened in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, following a distress report regarding cattle straying into farmland. Upon arrival at Rakwok Village, the troops discovered 14 unattended cattle grazing on cultivated farmland.

The troops took immediate action to prevent further destruction and initiated efforts to identify the owner of the livestock. Security sources indicated that the intervention was part of ongoing measures to address farmer-herder disputes and maintain peaceful coexistence within the affected community.
