This warning was issued via a post on Truth Social, where Trump stated that any country allowing its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government agencies to support Iran would face “tremendous economic consequences.” He did not specify which countries would be affected or the nature of the measures.

This announcement follows the expiration of a 60-day ceasefire between the U.S., Israel, and Iran without a diplomatic resolution. Trump emphasized that the new economic campaign was necessary due to Iran's failure to reach a deal with Washington and called for an end to activities such as oil smuggling and financial transfers supporting Iran's economy.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi dismissed Trump's announcement as a diversion from U.S. economic issues, warning that increased economic pressure would heighten hostility towards the United States.
