U.S. Counterterror Chief Resigns Amid Iran Tensions

Joe Kent, the director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center, resigned on the previous day, signaling internal dissent regarding U.S. military involvement in Iran.

The airstrikes are expected to destabilize Iran's command structure and escalate regional hostilities. Kent expressed that he could not support military actions against Iran, which he stated posed no imminent threat to the U.S.
