Nigeria and Benin Strengthen Security Ties After Failed Coup Attempt

Bakar thanked Nigeria for its swift support in neutralizing the threat and disclosed Benin's specific request for Nigerian aerial support during the crisis.

The ministers emphasized the urgent need for coordinated responses to rising security threats across West Africa and discussed the establishment of a regional standby force to deter future coup attempts.
