Trabzonspor's Onuachu Praised Despite Recent Struggles

Özden Ayvaz, a pundit, has rated Trabzonspor striker Paul Onuachu highly, calling him a “great goalscorer” despite acknowledging that Onuachu is currently out of form. Ayvaz raised questions about whether there is a clause in Onuachu's contract that mandates his participation in every match after he was substituted in during Trabzonspor's 4-0 victory over Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig.

Onuachu did not start the match but came on in the second half as Trabzonspor dominated the game, with Mohamed Salah scoring a hat-trick. This season, Onuachu has struggled, netting only twice in eight appearances, both goals coming in a 5-0 win against Genclerbirligi.

Despite his recent performance, Ayvaz commended Onuachu's finishing ability and positive attitude on the pitch. He also mentioned that friends in Istanbul close to Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım have jokingly suggested acquiring Onuachu.

Notably, Onuachu was omitted from Nigeria's squad for upcoming matches against Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau.
