Bayelsa Lawmakers and Rivers Governor Defect to APC Amid Political Turmoil

In a political move, two Bayelsa lawmakers, Rodnei Ambaiowei and Oboku Oforji, have defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to ongoing internal crises within the PDP. The defection was announced by House of Representatives Speaker, Tajudeen Abba.

Additionally, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has also defected from the PDP to the APC, acknowledging Bola Tinubu's intervention as instrumental in his decision. This strategic political shift is seen as an attempt to counter Nyesom Wike's influence in Rivers State.
