UBA Advocates Partnerships for Africa's Economic Growth

At the Africa Forward Summit 2026 held in Nairobi, Kenya, UBA Group Chairman Toni O. Elumelu reaffirmed the bank's commitment to accelerating Africa's economic transformation through entrepreneurship and innovation.

The summit, themed "Africa-France Partnership for Innovative Growth," brought together heads of state, policymakers, development finance institutions, investors, and business leaders from Africa and Europe. French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a keynote address, stressing the need to renew the Africa-France relationship based on innovative investments and mutual prosperity.

Elumelu highlighted that Africa's future will not be built on aid but rather through entrepreneurship and bold partnerships. He emphasized the critical role of collaboration among governments, development finance institutions, and private investors to drive sustainable growth across the continent.

The summit served as a strategic platform for UBA to reinforce its identity as Africa's global bank, positioning itself as a bridge between African markets and international investors.
