UBA Named Africa's Bank of the Year for Third Time, Shows Strong Financial Performance

UBA has been recognized as Africa's Bank of the Year for the third time in five years, winning awards in nine out of its 20 African subsidiaries. The bank's success was attributed to its strong financial performance, with a 46.8% increase in assets and a 6.1% rise in pre-tax profit in local currency terms in 2024.

UBA's operations in West Africa saw significant revenue and profit growth, with an 87% and 89% increase, respectively, in the first half of 2025. The bank's digital innovation and leadership were also acknowledged during the annual Bank of the Year awards ceremony held in London.
