Uba Sani Enacts 32 Laws to Enhance Kaduna Security

Senator Uba Sani, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, has been actively governing within the law since assuming office in May 2023. He has assented to 32 laws addressing various sectors, including security, education, healthcare, and agriculture.

A significant focus of his administration has been on security, which he considers essential for sustainable development. To enhance security, the Kaduna Vigilance Service has recruited and trained 7,000 personnel, and the administration has provided security agencies with 150 Hilux vehicles and 500 patrol motorcycles.

Additionally, the first forensic laboratory and training center in Kaduna State has been constructed. The administration has also implemented the Kaduna Peace Model, which emphasizes dialogue and community-based peacebuilding to tackle security challenges.

This model has fostered engagement between communities and security agencies, leading to improved security in areas such as Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Giwa, Igabi, Kachia, Kajuru, and Kagarko, with public confidence reportedly returning by April 2026.
