Luis Enrique Defends PSG After 5-4 Win Over Bayern

Luis Enrique, the current manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), expressed his dissatisfaction with analysts' criticism following PSG's 5-4 victory over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. In a media briefing prior to a Ligue 1 match against FC Lorient, Enrique stated that not every opinion warrants respect, particularly when it differs from his perspective.

He specifically addressed comments regarding the defensive performance in the first leg of the semifinals, asserting that poor opinions do not deserve respect. Enrique identified himself among those who appreciate various styles of football and disregarded the negative opinions from analysts.

His remarks were made in response to Wayne Rooney's assertion about the need to address the team's defensive issues, questioning the understanding of players and coaches when conceding four or five goals, despite winning the match. PSG is set to face Bayern Munich in the second leg of the semifinals next week.
