Real Madrid Thrashes Manchester City 3-0 in UCL

In the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg on Wednesday, Real Madrid delivered an emphatic 3-0 victory against Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabéu. Federico Valverde was the standout player, scoring a first-half hat trick.

He opened the scoring by finishing calmly past Gianluigi Donnarumma after racing onto a long clearance from goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Valverde doubled the lead with a powerful strike into the far corner and completed his treble with a superb touch finish following a neat exchange with Brahim Díaz.

Although Vinícius Júnior was brought down in the box, Donnarumma saved the subsequent penalty. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain secured a significant 5-2 win over Chelsea at Parc des Princes, with Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha among the scorers.

Arsenal managed a late equalizer through Kai Havertz, converting a penalty to draw 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen after Robert Andrich had given the German side the lead.
