Uganda Declares Ebola Outbreak Over, Discharges Last Patient

Uganda has officially declared the end of the recent Ebola outbreak after successfully treating and discharging all eight infected patients. The Minister of Health, Jane Ruth Aceng, announced the recovery of the last patient, highlighting the effectiveness of the country's healthcare system in managing the outbreak.

Strict monitoring and quarantine measures are in place for 265 contacts to prevent further spread of the highly infectious and often fatal disease. The Sudan strain virus poses unique challenges as there is currently no approved vaccine available for this specific strain.
