UK Sets Four Key Requirements for Adult Dependent Visa

The UK government has outlined four essential conditions that must be met for individuals to qualify for indefinite leave to remain under the adult dependent relative family visa category. This visa is intended for adults who rely on a family member residing in the UK for their care and wellbeing.

To be eligible, applicants must be over 18 years of age, already possess permission to enter the UK as an adult dependent relative, have a sponsor who is either settled or in the process of settling in the UK, and have a sponsor capable of providing financial support without relying on public funds for a minimum of five years from the date of the applicant's entry into the UK. The sponsor, responsible for the applicant's care, must complete an official form confirming their financial capacity to support the applicant independently.

Both conditions regarding the sponsor must be satisfied simultaneously for eligibility.
