UK Sets Salary Requirements for Scale-up Visa Holders

The UK government has published the financial requirements for foreign workers on the Scale-up Worker visa who wish to apply for indefinite leave to remain, commonly referred to as permanent residence. The guidance outlines two main conditions: a current salary threshold and an earnings history requirement for the three years preceding the application.
The salary threshold varies based on the issuance date of the most recent certificate of sponsorship. For certificates issued on or after July 22, 2025, the minimum salary is set at £39,100 annually.
For those issued between April 4, 2024, and July 21, 2025, the threshold is £36,300. It drops to £34,600 for certificates issued between April 12, 2023, and April 3, 2024, and to £33,000 for those issued on or before April 11, 2023.
Additionally, applicants must demonstrate they met the relevant earnings threshold for at least two of the three years before applying. Self-employed earnings are excluded from this calculation.
