UNFPA Enhances Family Planning Services in Bauchi State

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Bauchi State in the delivery of quality family planning services. This was stated by Dr Ummulkrusum Bajoga, the UNFPA Family Planning, Reproductive Health, Commodity Security Specialist, during a four-day training on the Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) to Family Planning held in Bauchi State.

Dr Bajoga highlighted the strong political will and commitment in the state to improve the lives of women and girls. The training aimed to raise awareness and ensure that individuals accessing family planning services are aware of their rights.

Participants included Easter Patrick, State Coordinator of Women Mediators, who expressed gratitude for the training, and Adamu Abdulkadir Degri, Regional Coordinator of PPFN, who praised the collaboration with local health authorities. Samira Abdullahi, Director of Public Health, and Habila Adamu, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Women Affairs, also emphasized the significance of family planning in public health.
