UNICEF Launches $100,000 Funding for Women's Health Tech

UNICEF is offering Nigerian startups the opportunity to apply for up to US$100,000 in equity-free funding through its Femtech Ventures programme, with applications open until November 4. This initiative targets companies developing technology aimed at improving healthcare access, reproductive health, mental wellbeing, and safety for women.
Nigeria is included in the programme-country list, allowing locally registered companies to apply if they meet the specified requirements. Selected startups will benefit from 12 months of technical mentorship and access to UNICEF's extensive network.
This marks the second annual cohort of the programme, which previously supported 11 companies across eight African and Asian countries. UNICEF is particularly interested in practical applications of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and data science.
The programme encourages applications from women-led businesses and founders under 35, although it is open to all eligible participants.
