US Congressman Moore Decries Distressing Visit to Nigeria's Middle Belt Region

US Congressman Moore's visit to Nigeria's Middle Belt region was described as distressing due to the violent attacks witnessed. Moore led a congressional delegation to meet with IDPs, survivors, religious leaders, and traditional rulers affected by the violence.

He raised alarm over what he termed as a systematic genocide campaign against Christian communities in the region. Moore emphasized the need to protect Christians, with a focus on security challenges beyond the Middle Belt, including ongoing terrorist threats from Boko Haram and ISIS in the North East.

The delegation also planned to brief former President Donald Trump on their findings.
