US Delegation Meets Nigerian AGF to Discuss National Security Challenges

A US delegation, including officials from the State Department and the US Embassy in Nigeria, held a closed-door meeting with Nigeria's Attorney General, Lateef Fagbemi, and other key officials in Abuja. The focus of the meeting was on Nigeria's security challenges, efforts to counter extremism, and legal processes.

Fagbemi disclosed that Nigeria has prosecuted and apprehended terror suspects, with 860 convictions in the past eight years. The delegation also met with other Nigerian officials, including the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Justice, Beatrice Jeddi Agba.
