U.S. Military Strikes Nearly 2,000 Targets in Iran

The U.S. Central Command, led by X Admiral Brad Cooper, reported that U.S. forces have struck nearly 2,000 targets in Iran as part of a large-scale offensive initiated on Saturday.

This unprecedented military operation aims to eliminate Iran's capability to threaten American vessels in the region. Within less than 100 hours, U.S. forces have severely degraded Iran's air defense systems, destroyed hundreds of ballistic missile launchers, and eliminated 17 Iranian warships.

The operation also targeted Iranian submarines, with the intent to sink the entire Iranian navy. Admiral Cooper noted that there were no Iranian ships reported underway in the Arabian Gulf, also known as the Persian Gulf, or the Gulf of Oman.

The U.S. has accused Iran of harassing international shipping for decades. The offensive was reportedly launched in coordination with Israel, escalating tensions in the region.
