Paul Onuachu, currently playing for Trabzonspor, is in a competitive race for the Super Lig Golden Boot against Uzbekistan striker Eldor Shomurodov. Onuachu leads the scoring chart with 20 goals, despite a recent goal drought where he failed to score in the last three matches.

He had previously scored eight consecutive league goals before a minor injury sidelined him during the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
