Victor Boniface is Seventh Nigerian to Switch to Milan

Nigerian international Victor Boniface has become the seventh Nigerian player to join AC Milan, completing a loan move from Bayer Leverkusen. The deal was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who stated on social media that Milan will pay Leverkusen a loan fee of five million euros with an option to sign the striker permanently for 24 million euros.

Boniface underwent a routine medical yesterday to finalize the move. He follows in the footsteps of Nigerian players like Taribo West and Taye Taiwo who have previously played for Milan.

Boniface expressed his hope to emulate Samuel Chukwueze, who holds the record for the most goals scored by a Nigerian player at Milan. Negotiations for the move progressed quickly, with Boniface's representative Atta Aneke traveling to Milan to finalize personal terms after a previous deal with Saudi club Al Nassr fell through last January.
