Drama in Nigerian Senate as Senators snub motion on Nigerian immigrants' rights in Libya

In a political development, the Nigerian Senate witnessed drama as Senator Natasha's motion to amend a bill concerning the abuse of Nigerian immigrants' rights in Libya was ignored by fellow Senators. Natasha highlighted the plight of Nigerian women in Libyan prisons, alleging they were converted into sex slaves.

Despite her plea for repatriation of these women, her motion was not seconded by any Senator, leading to an awkward moment. Former presidential aspirant Ezekwesili also criticized the treatment of Natasha, who recently returned from a six-month suspension.

Opeyemi Bamidele intervened to save the situation.
