Tinubu Vows to Seek Second Term Amid Security Concerns

President Bola Tinubu declared his intention to seek a second term in office, asserting that the rising insecurity in parts of Nigeria will not compel him to resign. He made these remarks while receiving Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and other stakeholders from Plateau State.

Tinubu addressed the security challenges facing the country, stating that he remains resolute despite mounting criticism regarding security concerns. He characterized himself as a determined politician who refuses to back down.

The President reiterated his administration's commitment to restoring stability nationwide and defended the efforts of security agencies in tackling threats. Tinubu assumed office in May 2023 and is expected to complete his first term in 2027 when Nigeria will hold presidential elections again.
