Benue Youths Protest Political Activities Over Killings

On a Saturday, angry youths in the Apa Local Government Area of Benue State staged a protest against political activities in response to persistent killings attributed to armed attacks. The protesters, affiliated with the Progressive Congress, demanded urgent action from authorities to address the deteriorating security situation.

They disrupted vehicular movement by barricading major highways and carried coffins along with placards bearing various inscriptions. The demonstrators chanted slogans such as "no election," insisting that political activities should not continue while residents are being killed.
