Real Warri Pikin Apologizes After Timaya Stage Incident

Nigerian comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, issued an apology to her husband, Ikechukwu Asuoha, and the public following backlash from a viral video of her interaction with singer Timaya at the AFRIMMA festival in Dallas, Texas. The incident occurred during Timaya's performance of his hit song "Ukwu," where Real Warri Pikin joined him on stage and was lifted by the singer.

In an Instagram video, she explained that she had been enjoying the performance backstage when Timaya invited a woman on stage, prompting her impulsive decision to join in the fun. She expressed regret for her actions, stating, “Nigerians, please take it easy on me, I’m really sorry.

I take full responsibility for my actions.” She also revealed that her husband was unhappy about the incident, appealing to her followers not to be angry with her. Real Warri Pikin received the ‘Best Stand-Up Comedian’ award at the event.
