Nigerian Air Force Personnel Detained in Burkina Faso Due to Emergency Landing Revealed Technical Fault

Eleven Nigerian Air Force personnel detained in Burkina Faso disclosed that a technical fault forced their aircraft to make an emergency landing. During a meeting led by Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, it was revealed that the crew encountered technical issues en route to Portugal.

Burkina Faso's military ruler, Ibrahim Traoré, offered technical assistance to Nigeria. Diplomatic engagements are ongoing to ensure the prompt release of the detained personnel.
