Visa Issues Delay Bafana Bafana's World Cup Travel Plans

The South African national football team, known as Bafana Bafana, is facing delays in their travel to Mexico for the World Cup due to visa issues. South Africa's Sports Minister, Gayton McKenzie, has expressed dissatisfaction with the South African Football Association (SAFA) for the administrative challenges that have arisen.

McKenzie has requested a report on the actions taken to address the situation, criticizing the handling of the visa process as an embarrassment and grossly unfair to the players, coaches, and staff. The team is scheduled to play a friendly match against Jamaica before their opening World Cup match against Mexico on June 11.

SAFA has acknowledged the visa complications and is reportedly working around the clock to ensure the team can travel to Mexico as soon as possible. The team also requires permission to enter the United States for their second World Cup game against the Czech Republic in Atlanta.
