ADC Rejects Intimidation from Presidency's Comments

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a strong rebuttal to remarks made by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga, who criticized the party's recent statements. ADC described Onanuga's comments as an attempt to intimidate them, asserting that they will not bow to pressure.

In a statement released on Saturday, ADC's national public secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, dismissed claims that the party was acting outside the law, insisting that they are fully aware of their actions and have deliberately chosen not to follow what they consider illegitimate instructions. Abdullahi responded to Onanuga's earlier post by using a metaphor about a hunter and a forest, stating that ADC is not lost and will ignore unlawful whistles.

He emphasized that the party's actions remain within the provisions of the law and that political intimidation from government officials will not deter their activities.
