Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa Celebrates Afenifere Leader Fasoranti

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State, expressed that the late Pa Reuben Fasoranti, a prominent leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization Afenifere, should be celebrated rather than mourned following his death at the age of 100. During a condolence visit to Fasoranti’s residence, Aiyedatiwa noted that Fasoranti remained mentally alert and influential in government decisions even at his advanced age.

He described Fasoranti as a great educator whose mentorship impacted many prominent figures globally. Aiyedatiwa emphasized that Fasoranti lived a life worth celebrating, stating, “We cannot but celebrate his life and times.

We are not mourning.” He praised Fasoranti for his humility and ability to develop ideas into action, mentioning that he passed away peacefully without prolonged illness. Aiyedatiwa prayed that Fasoranti’s family and admirers would continue to contribute positively to society, following his exemplary life.
