FFS Boss Denies Money Demands for Firefighting Services

Adeyemi, the boss of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), addressed allegations of personnel demanding money before, during, or after firefighting efforts in a recent interview in Abuja. He emphasized that the FFS does not engage in such practices and urged the public to report any personnel involved in such misconduct.

Adeyemi warned that any staff caught soliciting money would face sanctions, including penalties for the station head and the state Comptroller where the incident occurs. He reassured that the federal government adequately supports the FFS, with timely salary payments, provision of equipment, and personnel welfare.

Adeyemi stated that there is no pending promotion list and that those due for promotion have completed their examinations, with results expected by October 2026. He reiterated that the FFS is committed to performing its duties without financial demands and called for diligence among staff.
