Burna Boy Opens Up About Resolving Rift with Late AKA Over Twitter DMs

Nigerian afrobeat superstar, Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, recently shared details about resolving his rift with the late South African rapper, AKA, over Twitter direct messages. The feud between the duo began in 2019 when Burna Boy reportedly threatened never to deal with AKA after the South African rapper allegedly encouraged xenophobic attacks against Nigerians.

The dispute escalated when screenshots of hate messages purportedly sent to Burna Boy's Nigerian account surfaced. However, Burna Boy disclosed that they reconciled, with him even sending a posthumous birthday message to AKA on Instagram.

Despite the reconciliation, Burna Boy expressed regret over AKA's passing and mentioned their plans for a collaboration. AKA was tragically shot dead by a gunman outside a restaurant in Durban on February 10, 2023, with the murder trial currently ongoing.
