Minister Adelabu to Deploy Renewable Energy in Health Sector Crisis Resolution

Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, announced plans to deploy renewable energy solutions to address the power crisis in Nigeria's health sector. The Federal Ministry of Power aims to collaborate with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare to ensure hospitals, primary healthcare centers, and diagnostic laboratories have reliable power supply.

Adelabu emphasized the importance of utilizing renewable energy, distributed generation, battery storage systems, and grid expansion to enhance healthcare delivery. The National Stakeholders Dialogue highlighted the intersection of power and health sectors, focusing on providing sustainable and affordable electricity to healthcare facilities nationwide.

The Federal Ministry of Power and the Rural Electrification Agency are actively implementing solar hybrid solutions in rural and urban healthcare centers.
