We’re not working with Wike in APC – Tonye Cole

Tonye Cole clarified that he is not collaborating with Governor Wike in the APC regarding Rivers politics and governance. In an interview with Channels TV, Cole emphasized that he remains the legitimate leader of the APC in Rivers State, despite Wike's affiliation with the PDP.

He highlighted that his immediate focus is on halting the upcoming local government elections scheduled for August 30, which he believes are illegal and a threat to democracy. Cole criticized the rush to hold the elections and suggested waiting for a lawful electoral commission to be constituted.

He also expressed his ambition to run for governor of Rivers State to address the current state of affairs and bring about positive change.
