‘What Did Obasanjo, Buhari Do With Eight Years’ – Farotimi Backs Peter Obi’s One Term Presidency

During an interview on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily, Monday Farotimi supported Peter Obi's proposal for a one-term presidency by questioning what former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Muhammadu Buhari achieved in their eight years in office. Farotimi criticized President Bola Tinubu's reported opposition to the idea, emphasizing the importance of the accomplishments a leader can make within a single term.

Farotimi, a lawyer known for advocating for justice and systemic reform, recalled Obi's repeated vow to serve only one term if elected president. Obi first made this pledge during a widely attended 𝕏 Space session in June.

While the proposal has sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning Obi's sincerity and others seeing it as a way to reduce political distractions and promote focused governance.
