Lagos Backs Tacha's Guinness Record Bid at Beauty Festival for Nigerian Creativity

The Lagos State Government announced its support for Tacha Akide, a media personality and entrepreneur, as she prepares to attempt a Guinness World Record for the highest number of cosmetic makeovers by a single person in 24 hours. The event, named Tacha Beauty Festival, is set to take place in October 2025 at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos.

Tacha aims to complete 150 makeovers in a day to showcase Nigeria's beauty industry on a global platform. The initiative is seen as a celebration of Nigerian creativity and excellence, with the government emphasizing the importance of empowering local talent and promoting cultural heritage through such endeavors.
